Manila Bakeries List


Many Filipino stay-at-home moms often experiment in their own kitchens by baking different kinds of cakes, cupcakes, cookies and other pastries. And sometimes, these hobbies of theirs turn into their next big idea for a new business venture. There are now so many corner bakeries in the food and beverage services in Manila.  Some of the best ones include Sophie’s Mom Bakery & Confectionary, Karen’s Kitchen and Mom & Tina’s Bakery Café.
 

Sophie’s Mom Bakery & Confectionary’s is a small bakeshop located in Santol St. Cor Aranga St. San Antonio Makat City.  The bakery has a very warm and homey vibe making it very welcoming to its guests. Tonette Rosal is a mother of three daughters (“Sophie” being the eldest) decided to start this business so that more people can enjoy her red velvet cupcakes. But aside from Sophie’s mom’s very popular homemade cupcakes, they also sell mochi truffles, mochi ice cream, tarts, cookies and other specialty breads.  They also have recently opened more branches, located at the ground level of SM Megamall A, ground level of SM MOA, The Block at SM North Edsa and ground level of SM South Mall.


Karen’s Kitchen is another bakery on the of list food and beverage services in Manila that started out as a hobby. Karen Young was a dessert enthusiast and later on learned how to bake for fun and for creative expression. She had the chance to live abroad and was able to study all kinds a cake decorating classes and other dessert making lessons. In 2003, Karen started her business in Palm Village Makati and by 2007 her business was incorporated as KEY Specialty Foods, Inc. Karen’s Kitchen is now located at 428 Adalla St. Guadalupe Viejo, Makati City. Their best selling cakes are their Red Velvet and Chocolate Ganache Cake. Some of their other cakes are Apple Crisp, Banana Cream Slice, Blue Berry Sans Rival and many other yummy ones. They also serve frozen desserts and cookies.


Mom & Tina’s Bakery Café also started out as a mother and daughter pastime. The Bakery café now serves traditional home cooked meals and fresh out of the oven pastries and baked goodies. Mom & Tina’s currently has three branches located at; E. Rodgriguez Jr. Ave. Ugong, Pasig City, Tropical Palm Plaza, Perea cor Dela Rosa St Legazpi Village, Makati and Katipunan Ave Loyola Heights, Quezon City. All these three very accessible venues have an extremely cozy and laid back ambiance so that guests can just relax with their family and friends while waiting for their favorite meals to be served. Besides their wide variety of cupcakes, cookies, muffins and other pastries, Mom & Tina’s also offer all day breakfast meals, soups, appetizers, pastas, salads and sandwiches.
